Set of 10 French Faux Bois Plates

Acquired from the private collection of Princess Maria Romanoff these plates are a once in a lifetime find. Faux bois is the traditional french technique of sculpting or painting an item to appear like wood. 

The set is comprised of 9 matching plates and 1 slightly larger plate that could be used on the same table setting for a dinner of 10 or could be used as a cookie/ light serving plate. [Approximately .5 inch larger]

Each plate has a center design in cranberry of the french countryside, from trees, to homes to a small boat.
